At UK Windscreens, we aim to provide transparency and strive to ensure our customers fully understand the terms & conditions defined by us.

Please take a moment to familiarise yourself with your booking terms & conditions to ensure you fully understand the process of booking with UKWindscreens. If you are unsure, please contact us via email.

Price

UK Windscreens regularly updates our price database to ensure we are providing a competitive service to customers. Whilst we may not be the cheapest autoglazing provider, we guarantee to be the most professional.

The price you are quoted by UKWindscreens is subject to the correct features being selected during the quotation stage. Misleading the quote form, or purposely failing to declare features your vehicle has, could lead to the price quoted being invalidated.

On successful booking we perform a premium part lookup to confirm the type of glass your vehicle requires. If your vehicle requires glass different to that quoted for, we will re-calculate the quotation and request the difference before the work can be carried out.

Quote Validity: All quotes are valid for 3 days from the date of issue. After this period, quotes will be automatically closed and you will need to request a new quote if you wish to proceed with our services.

Payment

When you accept our quotation, payment will be required before we can assign a technician. We will place a hold on your payment method for the amount we have quoted. Payment will not be captured until the job is marked as complete. If your appointment is longer than 5 days from the moment you accept our quote, payment will be taken when the technician accepts the job.

We accept payment via Credit/Debit Card, Klarna, ClearPay, PayPal and Apple/Google Pay. Klarna and ClearPay are Buy Now Pay Later finance options and will leave an imprint on your credit file. Please use credit carefully and ensure you can afford the monthly repayments.

Glass Availability

Whilst every effort is made to ensure glass is available at the time of booking, our suppliers can at times have issues with their glass stock. As such, the glass required for your service may become unavailable. We will notify you of this as soon as we can and offer you an alternative date for the installation of your vehicle glass.

Calibration

The price you are quoted does not include calibration of your vehicle's ADAS system. The technician carrying out the glazing replacement service may offer you this service at an additional premium, this is separate to the price we provide you. If the technician carrying out the glazing replacement service doesn't offer calibration, we recommend visiting your local dealership to have the calibration carried out. UKWindscreens does not cover the cost associated with this service.

Should UKWindscreens offer a calibration service as part of your quotation, please note that there may be the requirement to take your vehicle to one of our approved calibration centres. Not all vehicles can be calibrated road side, and not all of our calibration partners offer calibration at road side. This will be clearly communicated to you via email at the time of booking.

Cancellations

We understand that cancellations are sometimes necessary. Below we set out our cancellation fees:

  • Cancellation fees: All jobs are subject to a cancellation fee once booked. The following cancellation fees apply based on timing and payment method.
  • Date changes: No cancellation fee will be charged if you need to cancel due to a date change. This applies regardless of payment method or timing.
  • Payment method - AfterPay/ClearPay or Klarna:
    • More than 24 hours before appointment: 6% of total plus £65.00
    • Within 24 hours of appointment: 6% of total plus £99.00
  • Payment method - Card or Link:
    • More than 24 hours before appointment: 2% of total plus £65.00
    • Within 24 hours of appointment: 2% of total plus £99.00
  • Glass availability: If glass becomes unavailable after booking, the same cancellation fee structure applies based on your payment method and timing.
  • Missed appointment: We reserve the right to charge a standard call-out fee of £125 for missed appointments. This amount will be deducted from the amount held on your payment method.
  • Abandoned checkouts: If you initiate a job booking but abandon the checkout process without completing payment, your account may be automatically restricted from accepting future quotes or creating new jobs. This measure is in place to prevent system abuse and unnecessary administration.

Glass Quality

The price quoted via our website is for OEM/OEE quality glass and does not include OE glass (with manufacturer logo). Cancellation of a booking because of non-OE glass will incur our standard cancellation fee based on timing and payment method if within 24 hours of your appointment.

Reporting a Complaint

In the unfortunate event that you need to raise a complaint relating to the service provided by UKWindscreens, we will schedule an appointment with your local technician to assess the situation. At our discretion we may request a photo of the fault, to assist with our enquiries.

Liability

While both UKWindscreens, and our technicians, make every effort to prevent issues, sometimes they can arise. After an inspection if the fault is not directly related to either UKWindscreens or our technician, the following fees will apply:

  • All associated costs for travel time (Fuel and labour)
  • A £75 inconvenience fee

Appointment Change Due To Weather

Due to the process of bonding glass to the vehicle body, the service must be carried out in dry conditions. If the weather is forecast to rain, and cover is unavailable, then the technician may change your appoinment date. This is only a last resort and after all other options have been exhausted. Unfortunately, to ensure a professional job is carried out, we must ensure the working conditions are correct for our technicians to carry out their duty.

Missed Appointment

In the unfortunate event that one of our technicians is unable to arrive on the scheduled appointment date, an alternative date will be provided in the first instance. Should this date not be convenient then a refund will be processed. If, after investigation, the missed appointment was found to be due to miscommunication or non-responsiveness on your part, we will charge a £125 missed appointment fee and release the remaining balance to your payment method.

Vehicle Preparation Requirements

To ensure our technicians can perform their work efficiently and safely, your vehicle must meet the following requirements on the day of your appointment:

  • Parking: There must be no parking restrictions at the appointment location for the duration of the service.
  • Access: The vehicle must have a clear gap around it of at least 1 meter on all sides to allow the technician to work safely.
  • Cleanliness: All personal belongings and rubbish must be removed from the vehicle, especially from the dashboard and areas near the glass being serviced.
  • Vehicle access: The vehicle must be unlocked or you must be available to provide access when the technician arrives.
  • Vehicle condition: The vehicle must be in a workable condition.
  • Wheels: The vehicle must have all 4 wheels on the ground.
  • Obstructions: The vehicle must be clear of obstructions that would prevent the technician from performing the service.

Important: Any vehicle not meeting these requirements will be subject to an appointment re-schedule, with a missed appointment fee of £125 being applied. This fee must be paid before the appointment can be re-scheduled.
